John Laster and I sat down with Greg Kasavin to talk about the features of Bastion and share our opinions on the first game featured in Microsoft's Summer of Arcade this year.

XBLAfans.com: Bastion (XBLA) Review
Here is my review for Bastion -
http://www.xblafans.com/bastion-review-xbla-20157.html
I wanted to share a little bit more about the experience I had with Bastion because I feel it may have been a bit unique.
This game affected me. Action RPGs are my favorite genre and so I was already pumped for this game. It was the way they allowed the story to unfold that really kept me invested. Supergiant games was able to mix in some amazing moments in the game that were accentuated by the music designed and chosen for those moments.
The moment you find one of the survivors was coupled with a beautiful song. The angelic tune, coupled with ethereal visual art style of that moment gave me chills. It was a magical moment in the game that reached me at an emotional level.
When I reached the end of the game, and the end of the story, I cried. The story, the art, and most importantly the music, all spoke to me. I don't expect my experience with the game to be all that common, but I want the readers of this review to understand just how much the game moved me.

Connect Through Games!
So, I have been really trying to knock home the point about getting connected to other gamers and really growing your network, but I have to admit something. I almost never play multiplayer games with people I don't know. I mean that I sign online and play, but I generally will not invite someone into a game that I have not met in person.
So...
Today I am making a small effort to change that. Please see this list of gamer tags and user names to add to your friends lists. Don't hesitate to invite me to a game, or check in to see what I have. I currently own quite a few MP downloadable games on XBLA and PSN on top of a large assortment of retail titles. I am always looking for someone to compare achievements or trophies with, so that's one way I like to connect.
So, here are my user names and friends codes.
Xbox Live: Goatee
Playstation Network: Goateesox
Steam: Themarriedgamer
Gamecenter: Themarriedgamer
3DS: 0731-4841-1608
Add me and make sure to let me know who you are so that I can accept your friend request or, if need be, return the favor.

Xblafans.com : Outland Review
Outland was developed by Housemarque, and published by Ubisoft. It was released April 27, 2011 for 800 MSP.
Developer Housemarque has made a name for themselves with their previously PSN-exclusive titles Super Stardust HD and Dead Nation. It is nice to see them bring their next title, Outland over the the Xbox Live Arcade. The story focuses on the spirits of Chaos and Balance, who wage war with each other. A hero comes along to help protect the would against this universal divide. You play as that hero, and will need to skillfully maneuver through the changing world. So, is the adventure worth while or is it just a puzzling mess? Here’s our review.
